Sustainability at the event

This year, Country Range Group (CRG) and the event organisers AE have teamed up with Visit Belfast to ensure that the event is as sustainable as possible. We are committed to supporting the local sustainability initiatives in the city, helping to create a more environmentally responsible and community-focused event experience.

  • Food-waste.jpg
    • Changing The Menu. For Good: This pioneering initiative, developed by Visit Belfast, aims to raise funds and provide food supplies for individuals experiencing food poverty within the city. More details about this initiative can be found here.

    • CRG's Commitment: In support of this initiative and CRG’s core values around sustainability, CRG will work with Fair Share to distribute any unused food products across Belfast and Northern Ireland, ensuring that no food goes to waste. Read more.

    • Too Good To Go: For live cooking exhibitors, we encourage you to notify us via the registration form so we can discuss how we can work together with Too Good To Go to prevent food waste. Read more.

    • Packaging & Utensils: We encourage all exhibitors to use recyclable materials for product packaging and serving utensils. In particular, we are asking that recyclable products be prioritized over compostable ones.

    • Why Recyclable Over Compostable?: Northern Ireland does not have the infrastructure to process compostable materials, meaning they often end up in landfills, making recyclable materials a more sustainable choice.

    • Belfast's Commitment to Sustainability: Belfast is working towards becoming an inclusive, resilient, and carbon-neutral city by 2050. The city is taking proactive steps to future-proof
itself for the generations to come.
